Job Summary

Serves as part of the rehabilitation care team and as an expert in developing and implementing developmental performance plans to bridge formal rehabilitation and client activity goals. The performance clinic athletic trainer is responsible for being a part of the performance team with coaching groups of athletes, adults, and individuals to reach their highest levels in preparation for competition and life. Promote Novant Health within own entity as well as through community outreach initiatives and serve as an integral part of the healthcare delivery team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in athletic training or equivalent from a CAATE-accredited program; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience: At least one year as a certified athletic trainer; experience as a performance professional preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NATABOC certification required; NCBATE licensed or eligible; BLS certification within 30 days of hire; industry certifications like NSCA-CSCS or NASM preferred.
• Additional Skills: Excellent presentation skills, strong customer service, energy and passion for mentoring, social media knowledge, ability to drive and travel as needed.
