Job description

Seeking a full-time, New Jersey licensed athletic trainer for our busy outpatient rehabilitation clinic. This position will assist medical providers in developing, implementing, and coordinating exercise and conditioning programs for patients. The role involves interacting with other medical providers to manage patient flow and assist physicians with ordering, measuring, fitting, and dispensing durable medical equipment.

Job Responsibilities of the Athletic Trainer:

1. Write follow-up exercise prescriptions following the medical provider’s orders.
2. Implement strategies to help patients overcome difficulties and improve performance.
3. Counsel patients regarding regular exercise and its benefits.
4. Advise patients on their exercise programs under the medical provider's guidance.
5. Develop and deliver home exercise programs based on current medical recommendations.
6. Assist with measuring and distributing durable medical equipment.
7. Demonstrate multitasking abilities.
8. Possess strong communication skills.
9. Have knowledge of medical terminology and equipment, focusing on pain management and musculoskeletal issues.
10. Understand various exercises beneficial for different patient needs.
11. Manage time effectively to complete all tasks.
12. Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
13. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
