Job description

CaroMont Health is hiring a Full-Time Athletic Trainer to work varied shifts within our Sports Medicine Outreach team through CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC!

Sign-on Bonus up to $10,000 based on experience!

*This position has no on-site clinical hours*

Athletic Trainer Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools, and therapy clinics.
2. Perform a variety of athletic training evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of athletes.
3. Collaborate with school officials including Athletic Directors, Coaches, and the CaroMont Health Sports Medicine team to develop and grow sports medicine programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university.
2. NCBATE licensure and NATA Board Certification are required. 2-3 years of athletic training experience, including on-field experience, is preferred.
3. Knowledge of physical therapy and sports medicine terminology, procedures, and techniques.
4. Proficiency in athletic training procedures.
5. Ability to communicate tactfully with athletes, families, coaches, and healthcare professionals.
6. Good judgment in working with athletes and performing treatments.
