Job summary

University of Southern California (USC) seeks a Clinic Assistant/Physical Therapy Aide for the Montrose clinic on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will support clinical operations, schedule appointments, prepare charts, and assist clinicians.

This role is an hourly position with opportunities to work with Keck Medicine of USC and USC Physical Therapy. Minimum education is high school and at least 1 year of related experience; USC offers benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year; combined education/experience acceptable.
• Medical office management and medical secretarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and obtain authorizations for care services.
• Coordinate appointments with ancillary departments as needed.
• Maintain the master calendar for providers.
• Prepare patient charts prior to appointments.
• Set up exam rooms and assist clinicians during exams.
• Assist by preparing the environment and handling related tasks.
• Act as a medical chaperone and ensure safe patient-provider interactions.
• Maintain files, records, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
