Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program or formal medical services training program in the United States.
• Three years of progressively responsible health care experience or equivalent education in areas such as patient registration, medical records, clerical support, or insurance verification/authorization.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to work with confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• The Clinic Assistant participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a physician, providing complex office support.
• Guides patients through the continuum of care between physician services, diagnostic services and hospitalizations.
• Performs patient registration and clerical support as needed, and escorts patients to exam rooms.
