Job summary

The University of Miami Health System, UHealth Department of Physical Therapy at SoLé Mia, seeks a full-time Clinic Assistant to support patient care unit operations and administrative duties. You will assemble charts, transcribe orders, verify patient information, and help manage lab work and admissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification/licensing is referenced in the role context.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, complete, and process patients’ charts and maintain accurate records.
• Transcribe doctors’ orders and verify chart completeness for therapy.
• Order and stock unit supplies to maintain inventory and equipment.
• Greet patients, verify information, and direct to treatment areas.
• Prepare treatment areas, maintain logs, and ensure a clean workspace.
• Assist therapists with treatment procedures and communicate patient updates.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to staff.
• Document equipment issues and report to supervising staff.
