Job summary

Geneva Lakes Family YMCA in Geneva, IN is seeking a Rockwall Attendant I to support climbing programs, ensure safe conditions, and supervise participants during program hours. One weeknight 1.5 hours and Saturdays 2.5 hours are required for this part-time role.

Rate is $10 per hour. Responsibilities include greeting climbers, assisting with equipment, maintaining wall safety, and following YMCA policies. Free family YMCA membership for hires’ household.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Climbing experience preferred but not required.
• Auto belay training and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications must be obtained and maintained by the YMCA.
• Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with members, participants and staff.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate rock climbing programs and ensure safe climbing conditions.
• Greet climbers and assist with putting on climbing equipment.
• Maintain safe conditions and enforce wall rules and behavior.
• Perform routine maintenance and report unsafe conditions.
• Respond to member needs and handle complaints politely.
