Job summary

Viaero-Wireless in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Telecommunications Tower Inspector (Climbing position) to inspect, document, repair and analyze tower installations across Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado. The role requires climbing up to 450 ft daily, meeting safety standards, and working in varied weather.

Candidates need at least 3 years in wireless tower work, certifications in Tower Rescue/Safe Rigging/OSHA 30, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in the wireless tower industry.
• Certifications in tower construction or equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.
• Must obtain Tower Rescue/Safe Rigging/RF Awareness/OSHA 30 and CPR First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tower structure and equipment to verify standards.
• Audit close out packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Audit tower drawings against actual construction for inconsistencies.
• Audit tower equipment inventory for accuracy.
• Document and perform repairs when necessary.
• Perform elevations, azimuths, and tilts with proper tools.
• Maintain safety procedures and inspect climbing gear before use.
• Travel 50–75% of the work week; some overnight stays.
