Job summary

The YMCA of High Point seeks a Climbing Director to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the climbing program, including High Ropes, Climbing Towers, and related courses. The role reports to the Camp Director and is part of the Leadership staff.

Responsibilities include safety training, staff supervision, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations. CPR and First Aid certifications are required, as is prior experience with climbing facilities.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• Current First Aid certification required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in high and low ropes and climbing facilities.
• Leadership and staff supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise the high ropes course and climbing facilities safely.
• Train campers and staff in safety procedures and course activities.
• Coordinate and supervise the climbing staff personnel.
• Maintain equipment, logs, maintenance schedules, and inventories.
• Ensure ACA safety regulations are followed and first aid supplies are stocked.
