Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to join our outdoor team in Soquel, CA. You’ll work on pruning, removal, and health-improvement tasks for trees, using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems and operating safety equipment.

You’ll be part of a high-performing greenspace stewardship team, with training provided and opportunities to advance. The office is outdoors, offering varied scenery and hands-on, skilled tree care daily.

Qualifications

• Ability to climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Prune, prune and remove deadwood; perform tree removal as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
