Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to join our team in South Londonderry, VT. You will work outdoors, perform pruning and removal, and operate climbing systems to maintain trees for residential and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Required: Valid Driver's license.
• Required: Previous Tree Climbing experience.
• Forestry, horticulture, landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates preferred if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as a crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.
