The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team. Your office is the open air, with changing views each day as you perform pruning, tree removal, and safety installations across sites.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and comfort working outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights is preferred.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide licenses/certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Prune and remove deadwood and perform tree removal safely for clients.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection as needed.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
