Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to join our outdoor work crew in Denver, CO. You will climb trees, prune and remove limbs, and contribute to health and safety of our trees and surroundings.

This permanent, full-time position offers training via the Davey orientation, safety certifications, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will work on-site with a dedicated ground crew and leadership, applying industry-leading methods daily.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services for clients.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
