Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our team. The office is outdoors and you will grow your career through hands-on tree care, climbing, pruning and removal tasks across various sites in the US.

You will be part of a safety-focused crew, using diverse equipment and climbing systems to ensure client satisfaction. Starting pay is $30 per hour, with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights is preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: relevant licenses/certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees and participate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems; remove hazardous trees.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.
