Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to join our team in Lawrence, PA. This role focuses on climbing, pruning, and removing trees to protect health and safety for clients, with on-site outdoor work and opportunities for advancement.

You will work with experienced crews, learn Davey systems, and contribute to a safety-first work culture. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights (preferred).
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Prune, thinning and remove deadwood throughout the canopy; install cables, bracing, and lightning protection.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers.
