Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Warminster, PA is seeking a Climbing Arborist to trim and remove trees and to improve health and safety of trees and surrounding areas. You’ll work outdoors, on-site, alongside a crew and supervisor, using climbing systems and a range of tools.

Responsibilities include pruning, removal, installing cables and braces, and maintaining equipment. The role offers benefits and opportunities for advancement within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Licenses/certifications related to pesticides, if required by state law (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood in the canopy; install cables/bracing/lighting protection.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain/operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
