Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team in Warminster, PA. You’ll trim and remove trees, assess health and safety, and work with a skilled crew using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems.

Expect to perform pruning, removal, and installation of cables/bolts, while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety standards. The role offers an employee-owned culture and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights (preferred)
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.
