The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to join our outdoor team. You will direct a crew, plan and execute tree care tasks, and mentor junior members in safety procedures and career development. The role is based on-site across locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Pesticide licenses and related certificates.
• Preferred: ISA Arborist, ISA Tree Worker and/or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work.
• Lead a crew in arboricultural care for clients.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood in tree canopies.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees and mentor crew through the Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, lifts.
