The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist for on-site work in Spring Valley, NY. The role focuses on trimming, pruning, and removing trees with various climbing systems and safety protocols. Responsibilities include using chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, performing hazardous tree removals, and maintaining equipment while upholding safety standards throughout all jobs.

Qualifikationen

• Love of the outdoors and physical outdoor work.
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or working at heights.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree orientation and safety trainings.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do

Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.

Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. Including but not limited to:

• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreman.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
