Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Warminster, PA is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team. You will work with Davey Tree climbing systems, prune and remove deadwood, install cables, bracing and lightning protection, and ensure client safety.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates preferred where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work with ground crew and crew leader as part of the team.
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood; install cables, bracing, and lightning protection.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain all tools and equipment.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
