Salary: $23 - $33 hourly (Depending on experience, certifications, and licensing)

Position Overview

Trim and remove trees, eliminate unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs, and perform tasks to promote the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as part of an active crew with ground support and a crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients, including:
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the canopy
• Installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
• Removing hazardous trees
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• A love of the outdoors
• Valid driver's license
• Previous tree climbing experience
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights (preferred)
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire
• Relevant pesticide, CDL, and related licenses/certificates as required by law (preferred)
