Arborist/Horticulturalist
City of West Bend, Parks, Recreation & Forestry

Job Description
The City of West Bend is recruiting for a full-time Arborist or Horticulturist position in our Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. The responsibilities include horticultural practices, forestry operations, grounds maintenance, construction, equipment operation & maintenance, and fertilizer & pesticide applications. Specific responsibilities include maintaining the downtown Riverwalk and Eisenbahn Trail. This position is also responsible for responding to customer calls and supervising seasonal staff.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree in the field and a minimum of three years of full-time experience. Must hold or be able to pass tests necessary for WI driver’s license, Commercial Driver’s License Class B, and State Certification as a Commercial Applicator for Turf & Landscape. ISA Certified Arborist is beneficial but not mandatory.

Salary/Salary Range
Minimum starting wage is $27.00/hour or DOQ.
