Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a technician to support engineering staff in the climatic chassis dynamometer facility at the PACCAR Technical Center. You will prepare and test heavy-duty vehicles, operate the dynamometer, and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate data collection.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, running tests, installing data acquisition equipment, and using ATI and Canalyzer software. CDL is preferred but not required; teamwork and independent work are both essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience with excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in troubleshooting vehicle issues including powertrain electronics.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and installs a heavy-duty vehicle for climatic chassis dynamometer testing.
• Drives a Class 8 heavy truck on the dynamometer; CDL preferred but not required.
• Troubleshoot test vehicle issues affecting operation on the dynamometer.
• Maintain organized project documentation and report status and issues.
• Run vehicle tests and maintain test section conditions using CCD software.
