Job summary

3Degrees is seeking a Project Development Manager – Heavy Industry & Transportation to originate and close decarbonization projects across heavy industry, transportation, chemicals, and built environment sectors. You will lead multi-stakeholder partnerships, structure complex deals, and underwrite feasibility with a strong emphasis on LCAs and EAC markets.

The role reports to the Senior Project Development Manager and collaborates with Carbon Operations, MRV teams, legal, and sales.

Qualifications

5–15 years in environmental markets, heavy industry or transportation decarbonization, environmental commodity origination, or clean technology commercialization.
Proven deal track record originating, structuring, and closing commercial contracts, technology partnerships, or project finance deals.
Experience with LCAs, Scope 1–3 emissions accounting, DCF modeling, and Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) markets.

Responsibilities

Originates high-impact decarbonization projects by cultivating direct relationships with EV charging developers, building material manufacturers, concrete producers, and chemical manufacturers.
Negotiate tailored commercial structures and offtake agreements including spot, revenue-sharing, and fixed-price models.
Build and refine discounted cash flow models, baseline calculations, and techno-economic assessments to underwrite project feasibility.
Lead due diligence on counterparties, TRL, delivery risks, and eligibility under GHG accounting methodologies.
Collaborate with commercial leads to align origination with buyer demand and manage early-to-mid stage pipelines.
