Join a leading arts organization as a Climate Engagement Officer to support community engagement and drive positive change through climate action projects. You will work closely with local communities and partners, delivering artist-led initiatives that promote sustainability and inclusivity.
Are you ready to step into the spotlight at The Playhouse?
The Climate Engagement Officer is a key role, planning and ensuring the successful delivery of community engagement and peaceful change activities, primarily as part of the ‘Artitude: Climate, Culture, Circularity’ project. Working closely and collaboratively with the Climate Action Programmes Manager as part of the Producing Team at The Playhouse and with project partners, the successful candidate will primarily support the organisation and delivery of longer-term, socially engaged arts projects led by communities throughout the Derry City and Strabane District Council area. These place-based projects will engage people in positive change on a range of climate action issues.
We are looking for someone dynamic, highly organised and with excellent community engagement and communication skills. You will have a passion for theatre, music and the arts and experience of delivering collaborative and meaningful community projects. You will be committed to contributing to social change through the arts, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy, a common-sense approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn new skills.

The post is a 2 year, fixed term full time contract (with possibility of extension)
