Job summary

Rainforest Action Network in San Francisco seeks a Digital Campaign Strategist to support the Climate and Energy Program. The role focuses on leveraging NationBuilder, social media, and email to mobilize supporters and drive offline action.

The candidate will plan and implement a range of digital strategies, evaluate data, and report insights, while growing RAN’s online presence across channels. This position offers a flexible location with SF preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience writing advocacy content for online use.
• 2–3 years of experience using online advocacy tools such as NationBuilder, Blue State Digital, Action Kit, Salsa, Convio, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Basic understanding of HTML.
• Experience using social media for campaigning.
• Experience using basic reporting tools to analyze and track data.
• Ability to work independently from a remote location across time zones.
• Commitment to climate protection, human rights and corporate campaigning.
• Knowledge and commitment to advancing racial justice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute digital campaigns to move corporate targets.
• Write email blasts, social media content, and other online materials.
• Build, test, and deploy online action pages.
• Create blogs or news releases.
• Create and test emails and online communications.
• Use online tools to increase reach and growth for RAN campaigns.
• Create forms and surveys using NationBuilder.
• Use Google Analytics and Facebook Insights to track performance.
• Provide analysis and recommendations based on data insights.
• Manage followers on social media and grow reach.
• Develop content highlighting regions affected by fossil fuels and climate change.
• Support fundraising events, trainings, or campaigns as needed.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and staff meetings.
