This role requires 10+ years in climate fields and an advanced degree; you will represent Starbucks in coalitions and external forums.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in climate strategy, sustainability, or environmental policy.
• Leadership experience across cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience developing net-zero strategies and climate action plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or policy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise Starbucks leadership on climate-related risks and opportunities.
• Lead enterprise climate strategy and integration into planning and risk management.
• Oversee greenhouse gas accounting, emissions tracking, and decarbonization planning.
• Drive cross-functional execution across sustainability, operations, finance, legal, and public affairs.
• Represent Starbucks in climate coalitions and partnerships.
• Provide SME leadership on Forest, Land & Agriculture emissions reduction pathways.
