Job summary

DataSoft Technologies, a seasoned IT consulting provider, seeks an MECM-focused Endpoint Administrator for onsite work in Columbia, SC. The role handles deployment, patching, and software packaging using MECM, along with routine reporting and policy monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, and group policy, plus familiarity with Intune and cloud gateway tools. Onsite collaboration and monthly patch coordination are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MECM experience.
• 3+ years packaging software for MECM distribution to Windows Client.
• 2+ years of hardware/software patch management using MECM and DELL Client System Inventory Agent.
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• 1+ year of experience with DNS.
• 1+ year of experience with DHCP scopes.
• 1+ year of experience with Sites and Services.

Responsibilities

• Deploys OS, patches, Office Suite and other agency software via MECM to keep compliant.
• Generates reports on deployment status, versions and patch levels for servers and clients.
• Monitors AppLocker settings and logs and recommends server/endpoint configurations.
• Maintains communication with Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems regarding MECM needs.
• Assists with upgrading software on servers and endpoints to align with vendor lifecycles.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Monthly: review available patches from Dell, Microsoft, and Recast for patch management.

Overview:

Daily Responsibilities

Manages Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management environment, which includes Microsoft Best Practices while deploying software and patch management in accordance with agency and IT Services policy and procedures.

• Deploys Microsoft Windows operating system and patches, Microsoft Office Suite, and patches as well as other agency software as needed to maintain compliance with licenses and agency policies. Deploys DELL and other hardware patches to production servers, endpoints and hardware accessories as needed to maintain compliance with licenses and agency policies.
• Provides reports on the status of software deployments, versions, and patch levels for all servers, desktops, laptops, and tablets.
• Monitors Microsoft AppLocker settings and logs and recommends settings on servers and endpoints.
• Maintains open communication with Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems concerning Microsoft MECM environment and software deployment needs.
• Assists with upgrading software on servers and endpoints devices to maintain compliance with vendor software life cycle, hardware life cycle, and schedule upgrades to software.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Monthly Responsibilities

Observes and checks on available hardware and software patches from DELL, Microsoft, and Recast for monthly patch management of servers, endpoints, and hardware accessories.

• Attend Endpoint Technician meeting each month.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM).

3+ years of experience packaging software for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) distribution to Windows Client using Bare Metal and Software Center.

3+ years of experience with hardware and software patch management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and DELL Client System Inventory Agent.

2+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell.

1+ year of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

1+ years of experience with Microsoft DNS.

1+ years of experience with Microsoft DHCP scopes.

1+ years of experience with Microsoft Sites and Services.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with Microsoft AppLocker.

2. Experience with Microsoft Group Policy.

3. Experience with Microsoft Intune.

4. Experience with Microsoft Cloud Management Gateway.

5. Experience with Recast Server and Manage Right Click Tools.

Education:

• A second interview may be requested.
