Our IT solutions company, located in the Western New York area (Buffalo), specializes in providing high-end information technology services to clients across WNY and multiple states. We are currently hiring a Client Support Engineer. The candidate must meet the qualifications below and be professional, customer-focused, self-driven, and team-oriented. Salary is contingent on experience and competency.

Only candidates local to Western New York will be considered.

Level I - Client Support Engineer

The candidate will possess the following skills and responsibilities:

  • Helpdesk, on-site support, and remote end-user support
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems
  • Monitor system performance, implement performance tuning, and troubleshoot issues
  • Implement software and network security, manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, systems, and software for networks
  • Knowledge of Networking: Switches, Basic Routers, Servers, Cables, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS
Requirements
  • High aptitude and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Customer-focused, performance-driven, with a high aptitude for technology
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of desktop and intermediate server administration
  • Manage workflow, daily timesheets, and calendar
  • Conscientious reporting of issues and resolutions for future reference and trouble tickets
  • Strong analytical skills and professional office skills
  • Able to learn and adapt quickly to challenges
  • Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science preferred but not required
  • 1+ years experience as a Client Support Engineer or in a related role
Additional Requirements
  • Reliable automobile is required; expenses reimbursed
  • Local short-distance travel within Buffalo, NY 14221
  • Driver's License required
