Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to four years of collections and supervisory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills in routine and non-routine situations

• Exhibit leadership skills
• Strong understanding of collection systems
• Excellent understanding of internal processes and regulatory requirements surrounding collections
• Ability to utilize Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor collection teammates while contributing to production based on vacancy, events, and seasonality
• Handle escalated calls pertaining to inquiries, repossessions, reinstatements, and other calls requiring special handling
• Execute on call monitoring and quality reviews to ensure policy compliance; coach teammates on their monitors monthly
• Manage collection efforts of teammates to meet individual goals (calls per day, contact percentage, promises/calls ratio)
• Consistently achieve performance expectations for collection efforts for assigned accounts
• Exercise good and professional judgement in handling difficult accounts (complex products, delinquency or charged-off accounts)
• Provide ongoing training and feedback to teammates to ensure negotiated accounts meet company standards
• Review repossessions and charge-offs; provide cure plans and loan modifications when appropriate
• Assist supervisor analyzing production reports and maintaining monthly KPI reports
• Maintain professional client communications with high integrity and compliance
