State of Delaware is seeking a Social Services Technician to assist with client services, benefits distribution, and eligibility processing in a public service setting. This role supports staff and clients to ensure timely access to resources and accurate record-keeping.

Essential duties include handling program information, scheduling, referrals, and data entry, with emphasis on compliance and customer service in a government environment.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in document processing reviewing records for completeness and policy conformance.
• Six months experience in record keeping.
• Knowledge of health or human services support and coordinating with community resources.

Responsibilities

• Distributes program benefits/resources to eligible clients.
• Distributes forms, brochures, and information.
• Completes or assists clients in completing preliminary information and reviews forms for completeness.
• Provides routine information regarding programs.
• Keeps records, submits reports, and types routine forms or letters.
• Gathers routine information to determine eligibility of benefits.
• Conducts follow up on clients as assigned.
• Refers clients/cases to appropriate agency for additional resources.
• Input data into automated client information system as needed.
• Receives and records complaints and resolves routine problems or refers.
• Arranges or reminds clients of interviews or appointments and reschedules if necessary.
