Job summary

Monroe Community Mental Health Authority is seeking qualified social work professionals to assess consumer needs and coordinate services through PCP/IPOS processes. You will address biopsychosocial factors, maintain therapeutic relationships, and connect clients with community resources while meeting departmental standards.

Masters level clinicians may provide intensive case management and therapeutic interventions, with crisis support when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with State of Michigan licensure.
• Licensed Bachelor's of Social Work (LBSW, LLBSW) or equivalent.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with State of Michigan licensure.
• Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW, LLMSW), Limited License Psychology (LLP, TLLP), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the consumer and/or the consumer’s family when appropriate, and arrange, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and advocate for services to meet the specific consumer’s needs through Family / Person Center Planning (PCP) and the development of an individual plan of service (FPOS/IPOS).
• Address both the individual consumer’s biopsychosocial status as well as the state of the social system in which case management operates, assuring the implementation and delivery of services to consumers and in keeping with the principles of recovery, self‑determination and resilience, as well as developing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with the consumer.
• Link consumers with external systems to provide additional services, resources, and opportunities consistent with qualitative and quantitative performance goals and standards established by the department.
• For Master level CSMs, provide Intensive Case Management and/or Therapeutic Interventions to their consumers.
• If required, provide crisis support services, possibly including pre‑screening for inpatient or partial hospitalization for assigned consumers and families.

Education

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pay Grade 7 (Bachelors Level) – $26.35/hr to $32.94/hr
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with State of Michigan licensure.
  • Licensed Bachelor's of Social Work (LBSW, LLBSW) or equivalent.
• Pay Grade 9 (Masters Level) – $31.88/hr to $39.84/hr
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling with State of Michigan licensure.
  • Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW, LLMSW), Limited License Psychology (LLP, TLLP), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• One (1+) or more years’ experience within the specific consumer population for which the position holds responsibility (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities).
