As a Client Services Manager, you will manage our delivery team and lead the Account Managers and Project Manager teams, manage key client relationships, and coordinate internal partners to deliver high-quality brand engagement experiences. This role supports client satisfaction, retention, and account growth while helping Account Managers deliver consistent, proactive client support. This role reports to the Director of Business Development and is ideal for someone who enjoys client communication, team leadership, project coordination, strategic problem-solving, and contributing to a collaborative, growing organization. The Client Services Manager is hands-on, responsive, and accountable for helping drive client satisfaction, retention, account growth, and Account Manager development.

** THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION IN MAPLE GROVE, MN **
  • This role requires approximately 30% travel to support trade shows, events, and related client activities.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and support to Account Managers, who report to the Client Services Manager.
  • Set clear expectations for Account Managers and help ensure consistent client service standards across assigned accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Support retention and growth of existing Storylink accounts by understanding client needs and identifying opportunities for additional products and services.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Project Managers, Creative, Operations, Accounting, and other internal teams to deliver client expectations on time and within scope.
  • Lead client status meetings, business reviews, planning conversations, and post-project follow-ups.
  • Develop and maintain strong multi-tier relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Assist in developing client marketing programs, strategic recommendations, proposals, and scopes of work that support client-established goals.
  • Coordinate project scope, timelines, deliverables, pricing inputs, and internal handoffs with appropriate department leads.
  • Monitor account activity, client feedback, budget considerations, and CRM information to support accurate planning and communication.
  • Help resolve client questions, concerns, and escalations by coordinating internal resources and communicating next steps clearly.
  • Demonstrate and communicate Storylink’s brand promise, services, products, and culture.
  • Provide experiential marketing consultation and support clients before, during, and after events.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining strategic account plans for pillar accounts while keeping CRM records current.
  • Travel as necessary to support client marketing activities, show planning, and on-site client needs.
  • Support process improvements that strengthen client service delivery and business results.
  • Participate in Storylink’s EOS rhythm by supporting Rocks, scorecards, weekly meetings, issue solving, and team accountability within the Client Services function.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in client services, account management, project management, trade show, event, or experiential marketing environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with tools such as NetSuite, Workfront, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project coordination, and planning skills.

Examples of Strategic Activities:
  • Support annual program management for assigned Storylink pillar accounts.
  • Coordinate annual business reviews, planning meetings, quarterly updates, and ongoing client communication.
  • Maintain awareness of client fiscal calendars, planning cycles, and key deadlines.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams on proactive trade show budgeting, show planning, pre-show/during-show/post-show marketing efforts, and complementary brand engagement solutions.
  • Coordinate with accounting to support timely, accurate invoicing aligned with client budget requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand work with existing Storylink client accounts and communicate those opportunities to leadership or business development partners.
  • Proactively recommend solutions that help clients meet objectives and enhance their brand engagement efforts.
  • Work with clients to develop brand engagement plans that support their short- and long-term goals.
  • Understand key customer requirements and communicate them clearly across internal teams.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with client stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting proposals, scopes of work, RFPs, RFIs, and referred client opportunities.
