Job summary

Smoker & Company LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Client Services team in a full-time capacity. You will maintain client financial records, manage bookkeeping processes, and provide responsive client service while meeting with clients as needed to support their accounting needs.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of hands-on bookkeeping experience and excels in accuracy, with comfort working directly with clients and their accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Ability to independently manage bookkeeping responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements, relationships, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client financial records and day-to-day bookkeeping processes.
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings.
• Travel to client locations as needed to support bookkeeping services.
• Complete closing procedures and assist in reporting and tax preparation.
• Support clients and team members with bookkeeping-related projects.
