Client Service Associate, Personal Wealth Management

The Advisory Group of San Francisco is a fee-only wealth management firm that works primarily with business owners, professionals, and women going through divorce. Our team approach allows for collaboration and insights shared across our Personal Wealth team, delivering a tailored client experience to our clients.

We are seeking a Client Service Associate to support our advisory team. The successful candidate will possess a genuine, client-centric attitude and a desire to learn and grow within a small team investment advisory firm. If you love connecting with clients, multi-tasking, have a commitment to excellence, and want to be an important part of a growing team, then you may be a great fit for this role. This position could be performed remotely; our headquarters are in San Francisco. Part-time hours will be considered: 70-80% Full-time equivalent (FTE).

This role would work best for a candidate:

oInterested in, or already pursuing, the CFP credential; or

oExperienced CFP professional looking for more of a support role and flexibility

We have in-person team gatherings at our headquarters in San Francisco (approximately) quarterly and spend time connecting both as an internal team, and with our clients. As a Client Service Associate you would be working with the Personal Wealth team in the following ways:

Responsibilities:

  • Process client money and asset movement and communicate with advisors and custodian (Schwab)
  • Responsive to a range of client requests; escalate to team members when necessary
  • Collaborate with advisors on projects and client data management
  • Help clients with client portal and uploading documents
  • Manage client calendar, including coordinating meetings or events with logistics such as meeting material prep (e.g., maintaining agendas, sending calendar invites with Zoom credentials)
  • Client onboarding, including preparation of new account paperwork and account maintenance, as well as account registration and account profile changes
  • Preparation of miscellaneous paperwork, such as letters of authorization, operational documents, etc.
  • Provide trading support using Tamarac rebalancer software
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency; independently and proactively analyze and resolve issues promptly
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and technology platforms
  • Takes direction well and demonstrates proactive follow through on assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a fee-only RIA environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity with any (or all) of the following: WealthBox, Holistiplan, RightCapital, Loom, Charles Schwab strongly preferred
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work in remote environment
  • Ability to travel at least 3 - 4 times/year
  • Work Pacific Time hours.

Please note we are open to hiring at a range of experience and levels and full or part-time, so compensation will be set in accordance with experience. Benefits include: PTO, incentive bonus, 401(k) with match.
