Associate, Client Services (Long Term Recovery)

Remote - anywhere within Southeast USA

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Client Services (Long Term Recovery) to join TR's Programs Long Term Recovery team! The Associate, Client Services (Long Term Recovery) will assist with identifying and supporting beneficiaries through the lifecycle of the Long Term Recovery program delivery. The Associate will require strong customer service skills, peer-to-peer communication, conflict resolution, tenacity, and a demonstrated ability to lead with empathy. The Associate will be responsible for serving as an advocate and liaison from outreach to potential clients, intake, eligibility review, approval, support during construction, and welcoming our clients' home.

Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Manager, Long Term Recovery and is based remote within the Southeast USA region.

Duties:

  • Conduct outreach to prospective clients and other organizations that may provide referrals; identify & interview prospective clients and assist them in completing the application process for Team Rubicon’s Long Term Recovery services.
  • Develop Individual Recovery Plans that include client input.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to monitor and assess the effectiveness of services provided.
  • Document comprehensive client background information, case history, updates, and progress towards Individual Recovery Plan in both physical and digital files via online software.
  • Prepare reports as requested.
  • Assist clients in identifying and obtaining available benefits as well as social and community resources.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with Greyshirt volunteers, acting as a liaison between geographic members and members in Team Rubicon’s Long Term Recovery team.
  • Provide support in identifying new capability opportunities within the scope of Long Term Recovery efforts and report accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships across sectors and act as an advocate for those affected by disasters.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing disaster landscapes and assume other duties as assigned.

Education and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, disaster management, business administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in disaster case management or client services.
  • Preferred: experience in customer service, client intake, social services, CRM tools, and demonstrated experience using data and research to advise organizational decision making.

Special Requirements:

  • This is a full-time REMOTE position (based on continued funding availability) and can be based out of the following locations: Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Alabama (AL), Mississippi (MS), Louisiana (LA), or South Carolina (SC) and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided).
  • Local Travel: Reliable transportation is required. The person filling this position will be expected to travel within their local area to support ongoing efforts.
  • Required: This position requires up to 50% travel and may require scheduled or unscheduled work during evenings or weekends.
  • Required: Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License.
