Job summary

VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team as the face of the practice in Sacramento. The CSR will greet clients, manage appointments, discuss services and fees, and support seamless front-desk operations.

This role emphasizes professional client communication, accuracy in records, and a welcoming environment for pets and their owners within a hybrid facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients, answering phones, and guiding owners and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and outreach to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services and providing general pet care guidance
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization inside and outside

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. We are an exciting hybrid facility; handling primary care appointments, emergency visits, urgent care appointments, and more.

We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional client service minded individual to join us in meeting the needs of our clients and their pets.

Why We Need You

As the face of Mueller, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR role is pivotal to how the hospital operates and is responsible for:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting clients, answering telephones, and guiding owners and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
