VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative Lead for our 24/7 ER department. The ideal candidate is compassionate, a strong communicator, and reliable, with prior veterinary hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities include greeting clients, answering calls, scheduling, processing payments, and maintaining records. We value teamwork, empathy, and exceptional customer service during stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical records, charts and correspondence with accuracy.
• Foster a positive work environment and support team morale.
• Manage crash cart inventory and update ER whiteboard; conduct team check-ins.

VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Client Service Representative Lead to join our team. This position is for our ER Department night shift. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, able to connect with people, and reliable. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is a bonus!

VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 emergency, specialty and general practice hospital. Our specialties include Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiography, Critical Care, and Specialty Surgery. As a 24/7 hospital, we are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service when owners are in distress and able to approach situations with a listening ear and empathy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greeting visitors
• Answering telephones
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Answering questions regarding services and cost
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Contribute to a positive work environment and promote psychological safety through teaching, recognition, and positive reinforcement
• Inventory crash cart supplies
  • Round to next team lead
  • Update local UC/ER whiteboard
  • Bi-weekly check-ins with team members
  • Maintain accountability on floor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions
• Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
• The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $19.50 to $25 per hour.
