This position is full-time with approximately four 10 hour shifts a week; compensation starts at $17/hr - $18/hr based on experience.
The ideal candidate for this position must be capable of navigating computer operating systems, financial transactions, possess superb customer service skills, have articulate communication, and have a willingness to expand their knowledge of the veterinary medical field.
Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors and answering telephones Scheduling and confirming appointments Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside
Our General practice small animal hospital is AAHA accredited and practices gold-standard medicine. We offer routine and medical concern exams, general vaccinations, in-house laboratories (CBC, chemistry, HWT, FeLV/FIV tests, UA, etc.), advanced and routine send-out diagnostics through Antech, domestic and international health certification, onsite ultrasound, and digital radiographs. We also work with two board-certified radiologists for more advanced ultrasound diagnostics/procedures. Our hospital offers surgical procedures such OHE, neuter, gastropexy, splenectomy, and more. Our dental services are always performed under gas anesthesia and include: ultrasonic cleaning/polishing, full-mouth digital radiographs, complete dental charting, bonding, and extractions. For more advanced dental procedures, we partner with a board-certified small animal dentists to complete these cases in hospital.
