Job summary

VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is seeking an experienced ER Veterinary Technician to join our team as we return to 24/7 hours after remodeling. Location: 22123 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364.

Schedule: Wed–Sat, day and swing shifts; $28–$35/hr DOE with a $2,000 hiring bonus (half at 90 days, half at 1 year). We offer comprehensive benefits, paid time off, 401(k), and generous pet discounts.

Qualifications

  • Must have documented previous experience in emergency veterinary care.
  • RVT license eligibility is preferred.
  • Emergency experience is required.
  • Flexibility in hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with computers and clinic software.
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgery.
  • Prepare and assist with procedures and radiology.
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement.
  • Assist in pharmacy duties and patient recovery.
  • Communicate with clients compassionately.

VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is growing! We are adding an experienced and knowledgeable ER Veterinary Technician to our team as we gear up to extend our hours back to 24/7 after updating and remodeling our beautiful, fully equipped facility!

Location: 22123 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364

Hiring Bonus: $2,000 for qualified candidates 1/2 at 90 days and 1/2 at 1 year

Compensation: $ 28 - $ 35 / hr. *DOE, education, and credentials.

Shift differential: two dollars/hr. depending on the shift from 7 pm - 7 am

Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, Day and Swing Shifts available
