Qualifications

Client Service Coordinator needed for Banfield Pet Hospital in Orchards!

Summary of Job Purpose and Function

The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") manages the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary team, ensures effective communication with clients and associates, and coordinates care in a friendly, welcoming, and efficient manner, encouraging clients to return and refer others.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
  1. Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  2. Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and directing the flow of clients and pets to ensure excellent care and maximum team productivity.
  3. Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through efficient hospital operations to support wellness plan clients.
  4. Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets, ensuring their comfort, and educating them about pet health.
  5. Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, and hospital services.
  6. Assist incoming clients with documentation, entering pet information, and ensuring prompt service.
  7. Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, retail sales, and scheduling.
  8. Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following opening and closing procedures.
  9. Conduct necessary administrative functions.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Comfort around various pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.).
  • Work hours may exceed 40 hours/week, including weekends and evenings.
  • Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications.
Experience, Education, and/or Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old for radiography duties.
  • One year of related experience required; customer service experience preferred.
  • Medical background and training in medical terminology are preferred.

The pay range for this role is $16.16 - $20.66 Hourly. The specific rate will depend on experience, skills, education, and location.
