Job Summary

The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a friendly, efficient manner to encourage client return and referrals.

Responsibilities
  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.
  • Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services.
  • Route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and high productivity.
  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through efficient operations.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering pet information and history, and ensuring prompt service.
  • Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, dispensing prescription items, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Conduct administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

    • Potential exposure to pets that may bite or scratch and to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and controlled substances.
  • Experience & Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Minimum age 18 for duties involving radiography or radioactive substances.
    • One year of related customer‑service experience preferred.
    • Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical) with medical terminology training preferred.

Pay Range

Hourly: $15.00 – $18.69. The specific rate is based on experience, skill level, abilities and education and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws.
