  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with facilities and decision-makers; serve as primary client contact.
  • Business Development: Identify new job opportunities and staffing needs; expand opportunities with existing accounts.
  • Job Order Management: Intake, manage, and prioritize orders; communicate details and timelines to recruiting teams.
  • Recruiting Collaboration: Align with physicians recruiters; provide feedback on submissions and client preferences.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate rates and terms within guidelines; escalate complex cases as needed.
  • Performance & Client Satisfaction: Monitor progress on roles and follow up to improve service delivery.
  • Systems & Data Management: Keep CRM data accurate; track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics.

SUMO Medical Staffing specializes in locum tenens placement for temporary and permanent positions in hospitals, private practices, government facilities, and medical centers across the United States. We are dedicated to placing the most qualified physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) in specialties such as psychiatry, internal medicine, hospitalist, family medicine, ER/urgent care, pediatrics, and many more.

Position Overview

This role is a blend of both job description and person specification and demonstrates the relationship between specific tasks and personal attributes. The role responsibilities will evolve as business needs change.

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare facilities and key decision‑makers; serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and support.
  • Business Development & Opportunity Identification: Identify new job opportunities and ongoing staffing needs within assigned accounts; proactively engage clients to anticipate future needs and expand business opportunities; support growth through account expansion and relationship development.
  • Job Order Management: Intake, manage, and prioritize job orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment; clearly communicate job details, requirements, and expectations to recruiting partners; set realistic timelines and expectations with clients and internal teams.
  • Recruiting Collaboration: Partner closely with Physician Recruiters to align on priorities and candidate pipelines; provide feedback on candidate submissions and client preferences; ensure strong communication between client and recruiting teams to drive successful placements.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate rates, terms, and contract details within established company guidelines; ensure agreements meet both client expectations and business objectives; partner with leadership on complex negotiations as needed.
  • Performance & Client Satisfaction: Monitor progress on open roles and proactively address challenges or delays; ensure consistent follow‑up and communication with clients throughout the placement process; gather feedback to continuously improve service delivery and client experience.
  • Systems & Data Management: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client and job order information in CRM systems; track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics; ensure data integrity and adherence to internal processes.
