Job summary

Ohnward Insurance Group in DeWitt, IA is seeking an experienced insurance office administrator to provide exceptional client service and support. You will be the primary contact for clients, processing insurance changes and payments while maintaining accurate files.

You will answer calls, manage mail, and help ensure compliance. The role involves cross-selling opportunities and building strong client relationships, with a focus on retention and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 3–4 years of experience or related training.
• Ability to obtain Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Familiarity with client data management systems and company websites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients, handling service requests, insurance changes, and payments.
• Answer phones, screen and route calls; manage daily mail.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and quote insurance products.
• Ensure agency compliance and monitor client renewals with Producer to retain clients.
• Prepare and maintain customer insurance files; handle confidential information.
• Coordinate with team to ensure smooth flow of requests and documents.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty products.
• Back-up for other duties as needed.
