Job description

Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. Together, we are changing the world’s relationship with financial services. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.

Role Summary:Kunai is looking for a thoughtful, relationship-driven Client Partner to join our team. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the health, growth, and day-to-day operations of a set of client accounts. You’ll be the go-to person for your clients—building trust, driving delivery alignment, and ensuring we’re always exceeding expectations.

Client Partners at Kunai work with a high degree of autonomy, sound judgment, and a strong problem-solving mindset. You’ll strengthen client relationships, guide delivery teams, identify growth opportunities, and step in early when risks arise. This is a high-touch, high-impact role that requires empathy, communication savvy, and a strong understanding of how to navigate both client needs and internal priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for your assigned client accounts

  • Build strong relationships by staying closely attuned to client goals, challenges, and feedback

  • Monitor satisfaction and take the lead on resolving issues quickly and thoughtfully

  • Represent Kunai’s standards of consulting excellence, responsiveness, and integrity in every interaction

  • Manage the fit and success of talent placements, working cross-functionally to ensure seamless transitions

  • Balance client needs with internal team integrity, advocating for both as needed

  • Partner closely with Talent and Delivery to surface and address risks early—before they become issues

  • Work with Sales to scope, grow, and renew client work through thoughtful proposals and team expansions

  • Ensure diligent management of client engagement records, SOWs, and commercial terms to drive operational integrity with our clients and our business

  • Use your business acumen to connect the dots between client objectives, industry trends, and our service offerings

  • Keep leadership informed by escalating risks strategically—no surprises

What You Bring:

  • 4–7+ years of experience as a Client Partner, Technology/Delivery Program Manager, or Sr. Product Manager in a professional services organization

  • Experience owning and driving outcomes on digital projects and delivery teams

  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills—you know how to listen, empathize, and present clearly

  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to prioritize across multiple client engagements

  • Comfort with ambiguity and confidence to drive clarity when needed

  • High emotional intelligence—you build trust and navigate complex dynamics with ease

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with financial services clients

$140,000-165,000. Salary is commensurate on experience and location.

Our success over the past 20 years is rooted in our exceptional team, which thrives in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.

We are proud to offer our employees a range of benefits, including competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements, all designed to help them thrive. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to cultivating an environment where people feel valued, have a voice, and are given the tools to grow—both personally and professionally—while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the fintech industry.
