Job description

Landmark Ventures is seeking a Client Operations Manager to join our dynamic business development team. As a Client Operations Manager, you will be responsible for client success by overseeing day-to-day communications and activities with each engagement, including preparing clients, managing deal visibility, driving opportunity sales motion, tracking key metrics, and helping optimize strategies to close more deals. You will lead cross-functional initiatives from ideation to analytics to recommendations to drive impact across the Business Development organization. Our outsourced team leverages C-Level Fortune 500 relationships to open opportunities and create deal motion for our clients.

This role requires high organization skills, excellent writing and communication abilities, strong emotional intelligence, and the capacity to multi-task across several projects while maintaining strong client relationships. Other organizations may refer to this role as Sales Ops or Revenue Ops, and we welcome candidates with relevant experience in these areas to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship & Pipeline Management:
    • Serve as the primary contact for clients, managing pipeline progress and providing regular updates on performance and project status.
    • Manage complex interpersonal dynamics in high-pressure startup environments.
    • Respond effectively to communication challenges with professionalism and tact.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders such as sales professionals, startup CEOs, and Fortune 500 executives.
    • Lead weekly status calls to track deal progress and provide sales coaching.
    • Ensure the sales process aligns with enterprise standards to keep teams on track.
  2. Client Preparation & Onboarding:
    • Lead onboarding for new clients, ensuring clarity on processes and sales strategies.
    • Collaborate internally to understand and implement client requirements.
    • Ensure the Business Development team has all necessary materials from clients.
    • Set clear expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, and communication protocols.
    • Prepare clients for sales calls with outlined use cases and focus areas.
  3. Project Management & Execution:
    • Coordinate strategic focus based on client target lists.
    • Track pipeline progress, KPIs, and milestones, exceeding client expectations.
  4. Reporting & Analytics:
    • Provide regular reports and insights on client progress, highlighting performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Conduct weekly/quarterly reviews, offering data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
    • Analyze sales data and feedback to optimize strategies.
    • Maintain data integrity across CRM and analytics platforms.
  5. Process Improvement & Efficiency:
    • Evaluate and streamline operational processes.
    • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
  6. Client Retention & Growth:
    • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Lead quarterly reviews to assess progress and strategize for client success.
Key Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in sales or revenue operations, client management, or project management, preferably in service or sales-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise sales, IT/Cybersecurity, or startup environments is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with high emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Data-driven with the ability to analyze metrics and improve outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and project management software.
