Managing internal and external requests, prioritizing projects, and working with tight deadlines are all essential to success in this role.In This Role You Will Execute On:New business opportunities and current book of business renewals including preparing and sending out RFPs, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing quotes, and proposal preparation where applicable.Assisting with preparation of various client presentations and deliverables.Discipline in 100% documentation of services provided in Epic.Timely response and follow-up with carrier partners as well as internal team of all client renewals out to market.Assist in the running and distributing of client reports.Primary focus on fully insured, self-funded, level-funded business segment.Exercises discretion and independent judgement when developing a marketing strategy, analyzing data for areas of risk or concern and presenting solutions.Provide Service Team with a strategy, including time expectations, as it pertains to analysis and marketing effortsProvide direction to team on data gatheringExperience with alternate medical funding (e.g., self-funding, minimum premium, captive)Creating RFP for marketingProvide a higher level marketing analysis for renewal meeting, including financial analysisCalculating loss ratios and premium increasesReview client demographics/offerings for a “best fit” of Hylant analytic tools and run through analysis of appropriate toolsRetrieving and Updating Client experience reports, including basic identification of trendsLeading rate negotiations with carriersIdentifying issues/gaps in coverageReviewing benefit offerings for account rounding opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining Carrier/Administrator contact relationships, including coordinating marketing meetings as necessaryDocumentation of all activities in EpicAttending client meetings as requiredIn This Role You Will Need:Demonstrate problem-solving skills; including research capabilities3-5 years' experience working in a similar Employee Benefits function, preferred but not requiredExcellent communication skills; including listening, speaking and writingRepresent Hylant core values (Family, Hard Work, Honesty, Respect, Empathy) and follow protocolsAbility to organize, plan and prioritize with effective resultsProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookTeam playerOpen to constructive criticism and ideasDetail-oriented and accurate on finished productsWhy Hylant?Since 1935, Hylant has been a family‑owned insurance brokerage built on relationships, trust, and a people‑first mindset.
