Job summary

Life Unlimited, Inc is seeking an Accounting Specialist in our Finance department to audit individuals’ ledgers and assist with monthly statements and correspondence. This role reports to the Representative Payee Manager and involves accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.

You will reconcile cash counts, prepare client statements, review incoming correspondence, and support management with findings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Work Incentives Planning Certification within two years.
• Excellent organizational skills are critical for success and timely documentation.
• Demonstrates professionalism and accountability.
• Ensures confidentiality and security of individual information.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent problem-solving and multi-project coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Must carry auto insurance coverage as required by law.
• Must receive seasonal flu vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Audit individuals’ ledgers and report findings.
• Assist with monthly statements and correspondence.
• Review ledgers and receipts for accuracy.
• Prepare client statements.
• Reconcile cash counts to ledgers for each individual.
• Review and file incoming correspondence.
• Provide professional and timely correspondence to management.
• Use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, or output data.
• Complete petty cash and other audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
