Job summary

Heartland Business Systems LLC is seeking an IT generalist to deliver desktop and application support and provide basic administration for servers, networking, and firewall equipment. This role is part of our managed services team and serves multiple Heartland customers.

The ideal candidate blends technical skills with customer service and can handle a fast-paced environment, remote support when needed, and travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in IT service, systems or network admin.
• Strong troubleshooting with a customer-focused approach.
• Clear communication and service-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive maintenance on switches/firewalls/routers.
• Remote app and hardware support for workstations and network gear.
• Monitor customer networks, systems, backups, and security appliances.
• Participate in on-call after-hours rotation weekly.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
