Job summary

Damar Services is seeking a Support Services Coordinator to assist in caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will coordinate services, manage contractor relationships, and help families navigate daily living supports with a focus on safety and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, driving eligibility, background checks, and the ability to handle crisis situations with training in verbal intervention and physical management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus four years of full-time work with neuropsychiatric or DD/ID populations.
• Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience, or 48 credits.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in selecting independent contractors per NOA.
• Monitor contractor hours to match family needs and NOA limits.
• Review contractor invoices and process payments.
• Evaluate contracted services for compliance with terms and regulations.
• Ensure ISP/BSPs for assigned clients are implemented.
• Notify management/regulators of incidents within required timeframes.
• Monitor client finances and pay expenses when required.
• Conduct bi-weekly client/family satisfaction assessments.
• Audit client files monthly or as needed.
• Support staff and clients in maintaining a safe, healthy environment.
• Respond to crises using verbal intervention or physical management as trained.
